Dr. Sameer Patel

Dr. Sameer Patel is a young and dynamic one of the best gastroenterologists in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, having a passion for advanced endoscopy and treating complex gastro and liver patients. He is one of the few gastroenterologists from Gujarat who have achieved a GOLD MEDAL in GASTROENTEROLOGY for their exceptional dedication and hard work in the subject and being topmost all over India. He received the honor at New Delhi, in June 2022 in the esteem presence of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, current Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

 After completing his MBBS from Government Medical College, Bhavnagar in 2011, he did his DNB in internal medicine from Venus hospital, Surat in 2015. Following this, he served as an intensive care physician at various hospitals in Surat including a specialty gastroenterology unit for the next 2 years, when he developed his passion for interventional gastroenterology. Having cleared the national superspeciality entrance examination with flying colors, he did his DNB Gastroenterology (2017-2020) from the prestigious Global hospital, Chennai, one of the largest liver transplant institutes in India and across the world. There he was thoroughly involved in the management of various complex gastrointestinal diseases, critically sick liver patients, and pre-and post-liver transplant patients as well as getting trained in advanced endoscopic procedures for 3 years under the mentorship of world-renowned faculties. Besides clinical work, Dr. Sameer is also passionate about the dissemination of knowledge and skills. He has taken various faculty lectures at state-level & national- level conferences & CMEs as well as trained budding gastroenterologists and postgraduates in endoscopy training workshops. He has also participated in various medical & endoscopy camps in Gujarat and nearby states as a part of his social responsibility.
